My grandmother and great grandmother were quilt makers. I set out on this project many years ago, rethinking the materials that traditionally are used for quilts. I spent over a year collecting vintage Japanese kimono fabrics, mostly silk, and pieced together my first quilt. I designed the backside with a more modern take on quilt design. A new line of quilts is now in the works.
